From the Bering to the Baja
sea gem was built by the Grandy boat co. seattle wa launched as the roselene, she was a fish tender for many years working for pelican cold storage
Thank you for this Kevin,
The Grandy boat shop on Lake Union burned down in 1967 but built many fine seiners and pleasure boats in the decades before that.
I found a great picture of the seiners Cape Karluk and Sheilikof at:http://home.comcast.net/~btse1/grandy/archive/fishingboats.jpg
The vessel was owned by George J. Lovorovich from 1977 until his retirement from fishing in 2006. It is unknown who owns the vessel now.
It’s my boat and is still in great shape fishing SE every year. First off of many sisters.
